Roast to order

All of our coffees are roast to order. That means we wait to fire up the roaster until your order comes in. We roast on Sundays and ship out the next day to make sure you get the beans at their peak freshness!

Let’s look at the steps involved in our roasting process

Sourcing the beans

We are committed to sourcing the highest quality coffee beans. Each batch is carefully chosen based on its potential for its unique flavor profile. In addition to our flagship blend, Tandem Dream, we aim to source single origins that highlight the curious, surprising notes of coffee, as well as the cozy, comforting ones.

Roasting begins

We start each new coffee with a small “sample roast profile This first pass helps us understand how the beans respond to heat and what unique qualities they hold.

From there we refine the roasting profile by adjusting temperature, airflow, and timing to highlight the distinct characteristics of each bean. Each of these adjustments has an impact on sweetness, acidity, and body in the final cup. Once a profile has been established we’re ready to share it with you.

Quality control and testing

Every batch is cupped the next day to check for consistency and quality. This step ensures that what ends up in your cup always meets our standards.

Packaging and delivery

After testing and final approval, our coffee is packaged and prepared for delivery. We ensure each order is carefully packed to maintain freshness and quality, whether it’s for one of our valued retail customers or wholesale partners.
